The espresso beans are roasted slowly to assure that the oils of the coffee bean which carry the aroma do not overheat. Otherwise the aroma would vanish during the roasting process instead of developing the unique flavor of Lucaffe during the brewing process. Slow and gently roasting also makes for extracting to a large degree the bitter components, which render it very mild, smooth and gentle on your stomach. Despite the 100% Arabica content, Lucaffe 100% Arabica produces a surprisingly beautiful crema.
