History
Massimo Zanetti founded Segafredo Zanetti. Initially he developed the business within Italy, where it soon became a leader in the licensed and public premises market. The company then extended into the consumer market and large scale retail trade, before going on to conquer the international markets. Its mission is to spread the taste, the culture and preparation method of the true Italian Espresso Coffee.

Coffee roasting is an art which requires experience: during this process chemical modifications take place. These form the coffees taste and fragrance. For Segafredo Zanetti espresso coffee roasting is the result of constant research and technological innovation. Blending consists in skilled dosing of the different varieties of raw coffee, or already roasted coffee, in order to obtain the desired blend. For every Segafredo Zanetti espresso coffee there is a blending reference named TASTE STANDARD, which is set by a group of experts. Since the coffee qualities vary from one harvest to another, the roasting art consists in dosing the different components of the blending for every new harvest, in order to ensure the blend meets the taste standard.
